We Too!

We Too! is a customer-driven organisation based within Aberdeen City and Shire for families of children with life-long, predominately hidden disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, Tourette’s, Epilepsy etc.

We Too! produces a FREE quarterly What’s On Guide that listing sensory adapted “Relaxed Sessions”, within the area that families can participate in regardless of where they are at within their diagnosis journey. Readership is currently 31,000 in NE Scotland with the publication widely shared by parent/carers and professionals alike including local authority education, NHS and partner charities.

We Too! also has a specialist parent/carer drop in facility with sensory space within Aberdeen Trinity Centre. This space recognises the unique challenges that parent/carers particularly face in addition to mainstream carer concerns. As well as hosting a variety of different groups over the week, it also creates a Warm Space within the city for families who struggle to access mainsteam warm spaces due to their loved ones sensory seeking behavours. “Ninja HQ” as well as the sensory space also hosts an information library, signposting to other charities and services and hosts workshops including “repair and wear’, education officers drop ins and financial inclusion officers sessions.

The leading provider of Relaxed Sessions in the area, We Too! ensures that sessions and events are accessible to as many as possible by producing visual guides, providing break-out spaces and attending events with sensory kits for anyone to access while visiting. To date, We Too! has worked with a variety of partners in the area including, National Trust for Scotland, Aberdeen Art Gallery, Spectra Festival, Codonas, Aberdeen Football Club, Innoflate, Aberdeen Science Centre and Inverurie Panto.

Firmly embedded into the community and widely recognised as offering best practice, We Too! helps organisations put inclusion at the forefront of their planning, rather than an afterthought.
