His company won the British Triathlon Associaton's 'Event of the Year' accolade so many times that he was allowed to keep the trophy! He founded FROGs, (Federation of Race Organisers), in the early days and is still contributing to the sport as President of Triathlon England's London Regional Committee. He has acted as an International Technical Official, working as a volunteer at ITU Triathlon World Cups, Triathlon World Championships, the 2006 Commonwealth Games triathlon in Melbourne, Australia , and at the test event for the 2006 Asian Games Triathlon in Doha. He was retained to deliver the first appearance of triathlon as a programme sport in the Commonwealth Games in Manchester 2002, which led onto five very successful ITU World Cup events in Salford. He is best known as the triathlon event manager at the greatest sporting event on the planet, the 2012 London Olympic Games.
