In March 2019, I along with Debbie Miles & Kirsty Eastman signed-up to the 401 virtual Challenge of cycling as many miles as we could in 1-year to increase awareness of & support for Ben Smith’s 401 Foundation: a charity to support local projects in the UK that build confidence and self esteem whilst also tackling mental health and self development issues. 

So far, the 3 of us have cycled over 19,000 miles between us (mostly in Spin classes) and plan to achieve 22,500 - a total of 7500 miles each. With 48 weeks done, we only have 5 more to push through; the light at the end of the tunnel is getting bright, but it’s tough going. 

To help spur us on, we’d love to raise some money for the 401 Foundation & Ben Smith’s next incredible fundraising challenge: running a marathon in each US State & cycling between them! His aim is to raise £1million for the 401 Foundation & The Youth Sport Trust.
