In July last year we received the devastating news that my daughter’s father had suffered a massive attack at just 41 years old and sadly died. Not only did this news hit me like a ton of bricks I then had to tell my daughter (15 at the time) this horrific news, which is something I wouldn’t wish on any parent. Whilst David and I were no longer together, we were still very much friends and even now, I struggle to get my head round that this has even happened.
Courtney was no longer at school and was awaiting starting college in September. I had no idea where to turn. I instantly got on Google to find some support and found The Never Alone Project. Jodie responded to me almost instantly and has offered so much support, she just gets it. She is patient with Courtney and is still checking in with me whilst having sessions with Courtney. The support this fabulous charity offers is incredible and I am so grateful we had this charity to turn too.
Whilst I am not a complete newb to running , I may be mad as I am actually in Ibiza the weekend before race day for my hen party but that just adds to the fun right 😆.
Thank you Jodie and The Never Alone Project for being there for us. You’re superstars ⭐️
