In June 2025, my grandad Doug passed away after suffering from various serious health conditions. Whilst this was, and still is, a deeply sad time for myself and our family, I personally cannot thank the great team at Cynthia Spencer Hospice enough. They provided him with the best care he could have asked for and even got him well enough for us to go for a meal together one final time — giving me my last memory with the most incredibly caring and kindest man. I am very thankful for all the lifts he gave me, but most of all for being such a big influence in my life.

So I am running The Amazing Northampton Run in his memory and to give just a little bit back to this charity, who gave me an unforgettable memory and gave my grandad the best care possible.
