This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of our beloved Rob Powell. You might be wondering, who was Rob?

Rob was our guiding light. He dedicated his career to fundraising for the Northamptonshire Health Charity, touching countless lives with his generosity, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Nothing was ever too much for him. He managed charity fundraisers with warmth and efficiency, and he wasn’t just behind the scenes—Rob ran this race several times himself.

Tragically, Rob passed away on 22nd January 2024, just shy of his 44th birthday, after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Our loss is immeasurable, but we’re determined to keep his memory alive through the causes he cared about so deeply.

That’s why this year, we—Josephine, Tegan, Kye, Bobby, and Daisy—will be running in his memory. We want to continue Rob’s legacy of making a difference, and we need your support to do it.

We are asking for donations and sponsorships to help us raise funds for the Northamptonshire Health Charity, a cause that meant the world to Rob. Every penny you contribute will go towards supporting vital healthcare services in our community, just as Rob always intended.

In addition to running in his honour, there will be a minute's silence at the event on 15th September, as well as the presentation of the Rob Powell Memorial Shield to the fastest charity runner—something Rob would have loved. We hope you can be a part of this tribute, whether through your donations, sponsorship, or simply by keeping Rob in your thoughts.
