Story
So I’ve decided to get off of my lazy bottom and run a half marathon for a good cause! Yes I’ve done a couple of half’s before (although I haven’t ran properly for over 4 months due to injury, family and other commitments) but raising money for a charity close to my families heart will help to keep me focused to get back to full fitness and raise vital funds! My pap died of prostate cancer in 2004, his last few weeks were made easier by the amazing staff at the Cynthia Spencer Hospice. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about him and how ‘George the Copper’ had such a positive impact on so many lives around him. It only seems fit that I try and make a small impact on the lives of those who need it the most. I will use the strength that he had to keep me going and hopefully I can make him proud! Any donation, no matter how small, will make a massive difference in giving the best care to the terminally ill patients at the Cynthia Spencer Hospital. Thank you, Tom.
