On July 14, 2024, I'll tackle the Croyde Ocean Triathlon (Olympic Distance). This is not only my first competitive event, but I am ambitiously aiming for the top 30% of finishers. Known for its 'Stunning and Savage' course, this challenge demands rigorous training over the next nine weeks.
Alongside the physical challenge, I am fundraising for two meaningful causes, splitting donations equally between Plastic Free North Devon and the Lighthouse Charity.
Plastic Free North Devon: Committed to reducing single-use plastics, this charity leads community-driven efforts to promote environmental stewardship. As a surfer and product designer with over 17 years of experience, I've witnessed the detrimental effects of improper plastic use firsthand and believe in the power of education to tackle our global plastic crisis.
The Lighthouse Charity: As the CEO and founder of Plinx, a firm that enhances construction safety and efficiency through technology, I deeply value the support Lighthouse offers. This charity provides crucial aid to construction workers and their families with resources such as a 24/7 helpline, fostering resilience in the industry.
Your support through training updates on Linkedin and Instagram or engaging discussions about these causes would be invaluable. Together, we can make a significant impact on both environmental sustainability and the wellbeing of construction workers. Let's push for a better future as I push through this triathlon.
Please donate if you can, thank you in advance for any contribution to this journey!
When they do their posts will show up here.
