So for some stupid reason I thought it was a good idea to sign up for an Ultra Marathon.
The 'Country to Capital Ultra' is a 43 mile race that takes you through the stunning Buckinghamshire countryside which, even in the depths of winter is going to look good. We carry this countryside well inside the M25 where we pick up the Grand Union Canal tow path for the final run into London where we will finish at Little Venice.
I've ran some marathons before but the thought of this at the moment is giving me the shivers! However, I'll be supporting The Lewis Foundation, which is a great charity who source, package and hand deliver free gifts and support packs to adult cancer patients in hospital every week – items they might find difficult to buy themselves or simply cannot afford. It can be a sad, frightening and lonely experience for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, and for many people in hospital, the Lewis Foundation volunteers are their only regular visitors.
When they do their posts will show up here.
