Welcome to the 2020 Virtual 3 Towers Ultra in aid of families of the Beirut Blast.
You may carry out this event in one swoop as per the official race day with a 14 hour cut off or you can run in it bite size chunks throughout Oct 2020. No matter how you run (or walk) the 3TU, you will earn a unique wooden medal - The rest of the entry fee will go to purchasing upto 10 laptops for a language school that what demolished in the Beirut Blast.
Since the school was demolished, teachers are unable to work, earn a salary to feed their familes as all computers were destroyed too... Well, everything was destroyed. But the one thing that can get the teachers back working online atleast is laptops. This the Howlers aim, to be able to help in this area.

The 3TU is a challenging 43ish mile route that takes in some of the most stunning views the west pennine moors has to offer as well as taking in all 3 iconic towers, Rivington, Jubilee and Peel Towers, the event boasts an elevation of 7500 ft!
Starting in the quaint village of Hoddlesden, the route skirts around Darwen and quickly climbs up to the first of the 3 towers, the Jubilee Tower before heading across to White Coppice via Cartridge Hill and Great Hill.
You will then navigate your way towards Jepsons gate before a steep climb up to the second tower, Rivington Tower.
From there, you will navigate your way across Rivington and Longworth moor. Continuing to Turton Heights and onwards in to Hawkshaw.
Then the final phase of the course tackles the challenging Holcombe Moor and the final climb up towards Peel Tower. From here you will head towards beetle hill, skirting Bull Hill and head back towards Darwen, finishing back in Hoddlesden.
The terrain is hilly and undulating over the entire course, and in parts hits public roads.
We recommend you carrying the following when taking on this event as a whole run.
Ultra running belt or backpack with the ability to hold 1L of fluids
Hat and gloves
Waterproof jackets with hood
Fully charged mobile phone
Suitable race wear
Prescribed medication
Money
