About the event

<#CENSOR#>
<#CENSOR#>Come and join us on a magical starlit journey through the Yorkshire Dales National Park. In 2021 we have put together a fantastic, demanding and rewarding routes of 21 and 13 miles through an International Dark-Sky area, and now we've made them even more challenging by creating an ultra marathon 30 miles and Half marathon 14 miles routes instead! <#CENSOR#>Starting on the very edge of the market town of Settle, you’ll be straight onto the Dales High Way trail towards Malham. From there, you’ll pick up the Pennine Way and get to run towards and over famous Malham Cove, and on the edge of Malham Tarn, around Great Close Hill and Fountains Fell via Pennine Way. And just when you will think the hardest bit is done you have a lovely climb up to Pen-y-ghent (self clip) via Pennine Way. Once you self clip you can descent back same way and take a Pennine Journey path, followed by Ribble way to follow Dales High Way down south alongside the river before heading back to Settle with downhill sprint finish. <#CENSOR#>We know that for many of you, it’s about PB’s; for some, it’s about being among friends and for others, about challenging yourself to complete a given distance. That is why we give you a generous cut off to allow everyone to stop for a moment and appreciate stars and a dark sky. Because STARLIGHT is more than just a race, it’s a way to experience dark wilderness under the stars! <#CENSOR#>At Tough Trails, we support the International Dark-Sky Association efforts to reduce light pollution; therefore, we will donate small portion of the entry fee to that mission.<#CENSOR#> <#CENSOR#> <#CENSOR#> <#CENSOR#> <#CENSOR#> <#CENSOR#> <#CENSOR#>
