About the event

Salmon Run 5K community run through Exeter along the riverside in the Riverside Valley Park from Salmon Pool to Exwick via the Quay. Managed by Wild Running and Tidelines and supported by the Westcountry Rivers Trust.

Open to all running skill levels.

Muster from Salmon Pool from 9.00am. The run starts at 9.30am when salmon baton (Samantha) arrives from Exmouth with the first relay team. Samantha is conveyed by someone in the 5k to Exwick where the next relay team starts.

Salmon Run highlights the iconic river Exe Atlantic Salmon, now officially on the endangered Red list, by empathising with the salmon's epic journey from sea to moor to spawn.
