EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW

Join us on a spectacular trail day in the Cotswold Hills aimed at beginners to off-road running, but also open to all levels and experiences of running.

The day is designed to showcase all aspects of trail running, teaching you new skills, improving your running and technique, learn basic navigation, tips on nutrition, gear and giving you the confidence to get out and explore trails on your own.

Previous experience is not necessary. All runs will be at an easy, sociable pace.

ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

The Cotswolds are a truly remarkable area of outstanding natural beauty; chocolate box villages, rolling green hills and a true English way of life which has barely changed in hundreds of years.

What truly captures our attention in this part of the world is the Cotswold Edge - an escarpment which rises from the plains of the river Severn and stretches for almost 100 miles running from North to South. The variety of trails which weave their way along the escarpment are astounding, and it is for that reason alone why it is one of our favourite places in the country to run and explore.

FAQ

GROUP MANAGEMENT

Being a group of max. 12 runners with a mixture of ages and running abilities we may decide to split into flexible groups, all of which will be supported by our running guides who will travel with us on the trip.

By splitting the group will allow us all to move more fluidly, allowing all team members to run at their own comfortable pace, without feeling pressured.

TRAIL RUNNING

The terrain is undulating and includes some steep uphill sections which we walk, as well as some shorter, steeper downhill sections at times.

We’ll be running through forested trails, fields, and rolling hills. Underfoot conditions consist of hard-packed and forested trails which make for very enjoyable running.

TEMPERATURES

We run the trails in autumn, spring, and summer when the forests and the countryside is lush and green. We can expect daily temperatures to sit on an average of 15 - 18 degrees C.

You should also prepare for the chance of rain and wind, as well as bright sunshine.

PROFESSIONALLY LED

The journey will be hosted by two qualified running guides, we’ll travel as a group at a sociable and easy running pace that suits everyone in the group.

Taking an easy and sociable pace our morning run includes a tutorial on running techniques and how to approach and descend hills.

We’ll be out on our feet for between 3 - 4 hours including the stops we make.

BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE

The ongoing corona-virus pandemic is, understandably, a concern for many people around the world. During this uncertain time, we have postponed a number of departures until a suitable and safe time that we can run them.

We are taking bookings for departures for 2021 and beyond into 2022, but understand anyone considering travel will likely have additional concerns and questions.

During uncertain times, flexibility and confidence can be invaluable, and we understand you might be apprehensive when it comes to booking a trail running adventure right now.

So, we wanted to outline our assurances for all new and existing bookings:
