Ever wanted to get out and explore the trails, but worried about navigation, or think it might be too hilly?
Come and join Play in the Wild UK on an "introduction to Trail running" event, to help you take on that first step off the road and onto the trails.
Intro to trail running is great for runners who are new to the trails or looking to transition from the roads. These runs are designed to get you exploring and running over varied terrain with a lower elevation gain, the route will be offering compact /woodland trails which are very runnable, grassy fields, small hills and some amazing views along the way.
This Intro Run takes you on a 10km run, starting from The Tram in Kendal. We will start running through Serpentine Woods which will give us some small hills to navigate, this is where we can practice some technique and then make our way to Cunswick Scar, before heading back to The Tram.
Trail running is less about pace and more about PEACE, as you take in the beautiful 360 degree surroundings. this run is aimed at those new to trails, but experienced runners are welcome to come and join and support, showing how great the trail running community is.
