About the event
Our popular night trail race returns for 2021. For this year it’s moving a few kilometres south to Grammarcombe Woods. It’s based around a 5km circuit for ages 12+ with some fire roads and also a couple of short but steep & gnarly climbs and some fun technical descents.
For the children we offer a fun one lap 1K race (3-7 yrs) or a two lap 2K race for slightly older children aged 8-11. Routes are clearly marked with reflective poles & arrows.
For all kids races we are happy for adults to run with them for no additional charge. Head torches or chest torches will be needed.
The private woodland we’re using means parking is free & we’ll have our own caterers on site.

Our mission is to deliver excellent endurance sports events to a wide range of ages & abilities. Our events include triathlons & duathlons, open water swimming, gravel and road cycling sportives & road & trail running races.
We work #CENSOR# delivering excellent events. And that is a challenge as no venue is perfect and dealing with landowners, traffic, councils, the general public & other stakeholders can be tough.
In October 2020 we moved some running races, previously co-organised as part of the Wild Night Run Series, under the Sportiva umbrella. And in August 2021 we acquired some cycling sportives, previously run by Just Event. Like all event organisers we’ve had a tough couple of years with the pandemic but are hoping for a return to near-normality in 2022.
We couldn’t deliver these events without a great team of people including Helen Simcoe Walker, Nigel Evans, Dawn Lamerton, Rachel Harvey & Tim Mockford.
