Milton Keynes, UK
I took up running in May 2005 after accidentally entering the New York marathon which I completed that following year & I was hooked over the next 5 years I ran 100 marathons reaching the "holy grail" of 100 marathons in Sept 2010.
Along the way I have completed the Brathay 10 in 10 (10 marathons in 10 days)on 5 Occassions. 1310 miles around Lake Windermere. I've also run the Comrades Ultra in South Africa and two 100 mile finishes at the South Downs Way 100 and Thames Path 100.
I can be easily recognised by my airplane style finish.
In April 2010 I staged a small local trail race "The Bletchley Enigma" to raise funds for Brathay trust the charity that stage the 10 in 10 every May.That first event saw a group of 30 people head off from Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes along the Grand Union Canal to Leighton Buzzard & back.
Following the success of the event I have subsequently offered a Summer,Week at the Knees, Fireworks, Evening, Christmas & Winter Enigma plus a variety of themed medal runs such as Rocky, Italian Job and Show Me the Money.
The "Daddy" of Enigmas is now the Enigma Quadzilla of 4 marathons in 4 days every February.
Enigma events celebrated the running of their 300th event at the 2018 Engima Fireworks weekend!
Thanks
