Edale Skyline Trail Weekend 2026

Experience the thrill of trail running in the stunning Peak District with Running Adventures! Join us for an unforgettable weekend as we take on the legendary Edale Skyline route, one of the most beautiful and best trail running routes in the UK. 

We will be staying in the lovely Nab View Bunkhouse at Ollerbrook Farm, just outside Edale. Our accommodation sits in the valley with views in every direction, the perfect weekend getaway. 

On Saturday, we will be running the beautiful Edale Skyline, a 23 mile (37km) round trip route, featuring a total ascent of 1288m (4226ft). This trail running adventure will lead us along the stunning trails and include endless views as we climb classic peaks such as Win Hill, Lose Hill and Mam Tor, as well as running the Great Ridge. Our approach to this run will involve a steady pace, combining hiking the hills with running the flats and descents.

During the afternoon you will have time to relax, go for a walk and/or enjoy a beer in a local pub. 

On Sunday, for those with a bit of extra energy, we will run a steady 10km (1083ft/330m elevation) loop from the bunkhouse, taking in some trails up and around Whitemore Clough, before saying our goodbyes.

Throughout the weekend, there will be plenty of opportunities to question your host, Matt Buck, about all things trail running. Matt will give you trail running technique guidance, help with fuelling, pacing and so much more. This is your chance to learn everything there is to know about running trails.

IMPORTANT: This weekend includes rugged terrain, lots of elevation and takes place in an unforgiving environment, we want everyone to be safe. Therefore, to join this challenge, you must have a good level of fitness and be able to run for prolonged periods at 10 min/mile (6:15 min/km) pace (on the flats and downs).

Don't have a car? Don't worry, the accommodation is just a short walk from Edale train station. ​

Travelling alone? Don't worry, many people attend our trail weekends on their own, it's a great way to meet new people and I can guarantee that you will have a bunch of new best friends within an hour of meeting everyone. ​
