CARLISLE SPRINT TRIATHLON | 7th August 2022

Open from 09:00 to 10:00 at the entry tent. BTF members MUST show their licence or pay a levy.

Mandatory race briefing 10:15. First swim wave 10:30

Our triathlon this year will be taking place at Wigton Baths. It is a sprint distance triathlon suitable for beginners and seasoned athletes. The event includes a 450m pool swim with undulating quiet roads for the bike and run sections. Entry prices from £32 – £40 (additional ticket fee may apply).

Prize presentation will occur as soon after the last competitor has finished. Prizes will be awarded for the following (subject to entries):

1st 2nd 3rd Male/Female Open

1st 2nd 3rd Male/Female Vet Category

1st 2nd 3rd Male/Female Super Vet Category

Swim

450m pool swim (Wigton baths). Swim waves will be in groups of 10, matched according to ability.

Bike

The undulating bike route is a 20Km course on mostly quiet country roads.

Run

The run route is a 4.5km route using mainly footpaths and quiet country roads.
