An Evening with Nicky Spinks

Join the queen of fell running and intrepid boundary breaker Nicky Spinks for an informal talk about her recent double Ramsay Round and Bob Graham double, two of the toughest challenges in the endurance running world,  in the comfort of the Drewe Arms in Drewsteignton in Devon. Nicky will be running in the Castle to Coast 50m the following day, which starts less than a mile from the pub.

 If you are down to run either the Castle to Coast 50m or the Drogo Ultra the following day, then what better way to find some pre race motivation? The event campsite and car park is just 0.75 miles away at Bowbeer Farm. Nicky will answer any questions about how to prepare for long single and multi-day events. You can purchase a ticket with and without food, which is home cooked Mediterranean vegetable pasta bake. 

If you are supporting friends or family in the Two Moors Ultra, which starts on Saturday morning, the  first runners are due to pass the pub between 9pm and 10pm, so it's an ideal place to lend your support to fellow runners. Who knows some of them may pop in to the pub!

Where can I parK?

There is only limited parking available at the Drewe Arms in The Square. Event parking is available 0.75 miles away at our event campsite and car park at Bowbeer farm (Drewsteignton, Exeter EX6 6PD)

Can I get a refund if I can't come?

Sorry we can not do refunds for the events because we have to allocate fees and venue hire.

Do I have to eat dinner?

No, you can order from the pub's excellent menu. The dinner will precede Nicky's talk. 

Can I wash friends/relatives running in the Two Moors Ultra or Exmoor to Drogo?

Yes, if they are fairly  fast  and are well inside the cut off time, the event will pass right by the pub before closing time and for a long time afterwards! Let's see if we can arrange a lock in!
