I started running in February 2018. I had some serious mental health problems and needed to make some changes.
I found the courage to join a local running club - the Liverpool Running Bugs. They have given me an amazing amount of support and encouragement.
I ran my first half marathon in October - sub 2 hours which I am so proud of. I love running for so many reasons. It has helped me to gain some self esteem and confidence. Most of all I feel a sense of peace and contentment that I have never known before.
I am looking forward to a few more half marathons in the New Year before my first ever full marathon in my home city in May
