Turn The Town Pink and #Runpink for our New Breast Care Unit!  The Aneurin Bevan UHB are building a new breast care unit a centre of excellence at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr. To improve the facilities within the unit a voluntary group have been set up the friends of the new breast care unit.  The ladies in the group are survivors of breast cancer and are passionate in raising  funds up and above what the NHS can provide to ensure every patient has the best state of art facilities when they attend the  unit.  The new environment will provide patients with the dignity and respect they deserve, with dedicated councilling rooms and a "boudoir" designer fitting room where they can take their time in choosing the right prosthesis in a changing room setting.   The rooms will encourage positivity through the breast cancer journey and " help build psychological confidence,for patients to live life to its full potential"  not merly as a cancer survivor.
