Run the Wild - Wild Christmas Charity Run
Run the Wild - Wild Christmas Charity Run

Run the Wild are as passionate about running as we are about our local area, the beautiful Chilterns. We are always looking at ways to give back, whether via plogging (collecting #CENSOR# as we run), or charitable events. This Christmas we are hosting a Christmas Charity Run, with all profits going to charity! We try and listen to our community, so will be holding a poll on Facebook on which charity to run for. The charity with the most votes wins…simple!

We want to make this run as inclusive as we can, and are encouraging runners to bring along other family members. The run will have 2 distances, a 8km loop, and a 3km loop. We welcome any age children under 16yrs, as long as they are running with an accompanying adult. You can even bring your 4-legged friend, we just ask that all dogs are run in canicross equipment only, and are kept on lead at all times. We will not accept dogs being run with a lead attached to their collar (if you have any questions on this, please drop us an email and our resident canicrossers can suggest equipment providers, and even places to try out kit).

Prize for best fancy dress will be awarded at the finish!

We will start the run at the Musette Cafe, based in the quintessentially English village of Aldbury. All our guides are local UKA Coaches, and when not running can be seen sipping coffee at Musette's. We will end the run back at the cafe for mince pies! Musettes is dog friendly, but please be respectful, not everyone loves excitable muddy dogs as much as we do!

The event is easily accessible, just 40 minutes North West of London by rail or road and there is free on-site parking for all runners. All abilities are catered for, so whether you are a new to trail running, just looking to get some miles in an inspiring location, or smash out trails like a pro, you're in good hands. As with all Run the Wild events, it's a team event so you will be grouped with similar ability runners and led by one of our experienced Run Leaders. We walk anything too steep and it's a good opportunity to get some trail running tips from our leaders along the way. This is a fun event, and a great opportunity to give back, so we really appreciate your support.
