Virtual Rock Hard Coast
Virtual Rock Hard Coast

What is Virtual?

We are providing a Virtual event with a difference this year. The Rock Hard Coast trail runs have gone Virtual this year because the National Trust do not want events to go ahead on their land during the pandemic.

You can follow the official event route by uploading the GPX to your device from our website or from Viewranger. Or you can run your own route and simply upload it to the Etchrock link which will be provided when you login to your Etchrock account.

Routes

The official routes all follow the South West Coast path from the National Trust car park entrance at South Milton Sands and head through Bolberry Common towards Bolt Tail. The 10k returns via Bolberry, while the 5k splits at Bolt Tail. The half marathon, marathon and ultra continue towards Salcombe South Sands with the ultra continuing towards Aveton Gifford (turn around at the approach road)

Leaderboards

Once you have sent your evidence in to Etchrock via their link, we will input it to the Leaderboard on Webscorer, which we will post LIVE on our website and on Facebook, as well as emailing the linkto all participants.

Trees Not Tees

All entries include a bespoke cotton event t shirt but you can choose to forfeit the t shirt and we will pay a donation to Trees Not Tees. We will post your t shirt to you free of charge, along with your medal.

Donation to the Eve Appeal/South West Coastpath

We will make a donation to the Eve Cancer Appeal or the South West Coast Path Association, according to which cause you select. A portion of every entry will go towards this.

Medals and t shirts

All entrants will receive one of our bespoke wooden medals, as well as as a t shirt, unless you opt out by electing to plant a tree with Trees not Tees. We will post these to you free of charge.
