Autism is a condition relating to brain development. It is a neurological development disability which has a profound impact on a person’s ability to communicate and social interaction. It’s estimated that 700,00 people in the UK have some type of Autism, that’s more than 1 in 100 people. Whilst there is no cure for Autism, there is information and support available to help people with Autism manage with this condition. What we can do is help support this by getting involved. By signing up for the World Autism Virtual Challenge, you are helping with increasing awareness of Autism.
.Run, walk or jog any distance, anytime throughout April 2023. This is a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of this condition and raise money for charity.
Our primary goal is to help and encourage people to keep active by offering virtual runs and walks. Our challenges can be done anywhere, at any pace, alone or with your friends and family.
At The Running Bug not only are our virtual running challenges fun, but they are also a great way to stay fit and healthy. It’s been proven that running and cardio not only provide great physical benefits, it also plays a great role in supporting mental health and stress.
We host a whole range of themed running challenges from long walks to short 5k runs, 10k and marathon races to any distance challenges where you can choose how far you want to go. So there really is something for everybody.
What’s more, you will also be rewarded for your running achievement with a beautiful bespoke medal! Our challenges also make it simple to submit your evidence, simply send a screenshot of your activity (you can use any fitness or exercise app), or take a picture of your treadmill time and distance.
