Virtual Eryri Rhithiol

You might not be able to run Snowdonia Marathon Eryri this year but, by entering our Virtual Eryri Rhithiol you can bring it to you. Runners are asked to complete the Marathon distance (26.2 miles/ 42.19 Kilometers) any time between 10:30 am on October 24th and 6pm on October 31st. It can be done as one run or as a series of shorter runs, there is also an option for it to be run as a team of up to 4 people.

All entrants will get a one off Virtual Eryri memento, a place on the leaderboard and access to Etchrock’s unique Vrtual Eryri training platform where you can exchange experiences, tips and ideas with other runners.

By supporting this event, you will be helping us to keep Marathon Eryri going in to the future to continue to support local groups and community concerns.

What is Virtual Eryri Rhithiol?

Participants are asked to complete the Marathon distance (26.2 miles) anytime between 10:30 am on Saturday October 24th and 6:00pm on Saturday October 31st. It can be done in one go or over a number of days and there is also an option for it to be done as a team of up to 4 people.

Is it a race?
No, not in the strictest sense because people will be taking part in very different conditions on different terrain. There will be leaderboards but not ‘results’ as such.

What do I get for my entry fee?
All participants will receive a personalised running number and a bespoke Virtual Eryri Rhithiol memento. There will also be a special platform on Etchrock where our experts will be able to offer you training advice and you will be able to share your own tips and images of you training with other participants. Also, by supporting the event you will be helping Marathon Eryri to continue in to the future and supporting our charity partner Tenovus. We are a not for profit community group that support local community groups and charities.

How do I submit my ‘evidence’ once I have completed it?
You will be able to do this through your Etchrock log in. Specific instructions will be included in your confirmation email.

Can I walk it?
Yes, as long as you do it in the given time scale - this event is about participation and inclusion!

Are there prizes?
There will be prizes but they will be spot prizes selected at random. Again, this makes the event more inclusive and offers the opportunity for people who don’t normally win prizes to do so.

Will there be merchandise?
Yes, there are bespoke T-shirts and hoodies available for sale when you enter. They are eco-friendly recycled garments and 20% of the full sale price will go to Tenovus Cancer Care - our principal charity partner.
