UNITED DOWNS RACEWAY

United Downs is one of 2 raceways that 'Autospeed' promote a full season of events at; the other being at Smeatharpe between Honiton and Taunton.Running for 7, 13 or 25 hours around Cornwall's legendary and unique pasty shaped 'United Downs Raceway'.

The clock goes back whilst the event is still active, meaning you are going to be running for one more hour than the typical 24 hour event.

Originally a kart circuit in the early 1960's, the raceway was firmly established in 1969 with the first stock car race they held there on 24th August 1969.

Since then it has provided countless races and entertainment for motorsport fans, enthusiasts and families in the heart of Cornwall's mining heritage.

The raceway is known for hosting Back 2 Basic Bangers, briSCA F2 Stocks, Ministox and caravan racing, and much more.

This historical oval circuit has played host to National Championships and World Championship qualifying rounds.

Not only will you have the opportunity to experience the oval track once, but you'll be running around it many times as the laps contain a loop within a loop!

You'll be running around the track and the outer area behind the catch-fencing above the track. Each lap consists of 2 loops and an average of 0.48 miles per lap. It could have been rounded up but that would be far too boring,

The most number of laps at the end of the challenge is declared the winner.

REMEMBER, IT'S NOT THE MOST MILEAGE. IT'S THE MOST LAPS!

100K (62.1 miles) = 124 laps

100M = 200 laps

Cowbells will be rung as you are on your 100K and 100M laps
