The Reason
Children are the first victims during war. Children are especially vulnerable to abuse, exploitation and trafficking during emergencies and armed conflicts. Numerous children are killed or wounded others are imprisoned, forced to leave their country to survive, or join the armed forces becoming “child soldiers”. Many find themselves orphans with no protection.
The war in Yemen may have already killed 85,000 children.
Save the Children are in Yemen right now, making sure children can get food to eat, access healthcare, continue their education and be protected from violence. But the crisis is worsening. Children urgently need your support to help them survive.
Please join our challenge today to help children in war.

I'm an open water swimmer and trail runner living in the fabulous Lake District, there's no-where better for it. Swimming is another way of enjoying the outdoors for me, taking in everything you can see around you and feeling free.
Swim for Children in War 2020 is the 3rd time I have run the event. In 2017 and 2018 we managed to raise just over 2K per event for charity.
