RIDE OVERVIEW
A glorious 75km Surrey loop taking in the best of Esher & Ashtead Common and the gravel tracks in the Surrey Hills. This is a ride of two halves - a smooth, fast & flat start heading north from Leith Hill and skirt Epsom, Esher & Cobham before a finish over short, sharp five off road climbs. In the middle of June the tracks should be in perfect condition & this is the perfect route to get off the beaten path and discover some of the best gravel in one of England's most popular cycling regions.

THE ROUTE
Leith Hill: 75km, 1,500m
The route starts at the base of Leith Hill and heads north up onto the ridge towards Ranmore Common. We then skirt Box Hill before heading to the smooth, flat gravel on the Commons (Epsom, Ashtead & Esher). These sections are close to big towns and but the trails are quiet and give you a completely different view of the area.
At half way (near Cobham), we head south to the hills and the terrain gets lumpier and almost all of the last 25km section is offroad going either up or down. This is a great off road region as we take in well maintained gravel roads through woods and summiting climbs with great views over the surrounding countryside.
The ride finishes on a well earned descent before a beer & some food back at the ride village.
PHYSICAL DIFFICULTY: 3.5/5
