A pool-based Sprint Triathlon situated on the edge of the beautiful New Forest National Park.
A Sprint distance consists of 400m swim (16 lengths of an inside pool), 20km bike and 5km run.
The bike course heads out towards the historic village of Beaulieu through the New Forest National Park where you might encounter some of the roaming livestock including New Forest ponies, cows, donkeys and even pigs! The National Park offers beautiful and varied scenery from open heathland to magical woodlands. Finish this sprint triathlon by running towards the village of Dibden Purlieu, up the appropriately named 'Challenger Way' and finish by sprinting along Roman Road.

This event will also be supporting Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. HIOWAA is an independent Charity that brings an advanced Critical Care Team to the most seriously ill and injured patients in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, giving them the best chance of survival and recovery, when the worst happens. It currently costs £15,000 a day to maintain their life saving service. You can find out more information on what they do HERE

FAQ
There are always questions that you might have, the common ones are answered below.
What will happen at Registration?
It will be online. About 7 days before event day we will send you an email. You will then need to complete the Competitor Responsibility Statement and Covid Health Screening Questionnaire online. This avoids the queue at number pick up. You must do this otherwise you will not be able to get your race number. If you have missed any email you can find it by going to your my.challenging.events account.
When will the race briefing take place?
To avoid crowds we will do the race briefing via a webinar on Friday evening. You will be emailed a google meets invite. Don't worry if you can't make the briefing, it will be recorded for you to watch when you can. You must watch the briefing. Any emergency updates will be communicated on race day, either via email or as you head into transition.
When will I get my race pack?
Race packs will be made 72 hours before pick up. They will contain your numbers, wristband, swim hat and timing chip. You can collect these no more than one hour before your start time from the registration tent near transition There will be a extra registration desks to allow the queue to move quickly. You must know your race number and ensure you either have a BTF day licence (paid when entering) or an in date BTF licence. If it is out of date you will need to pay £6.
How will the Start work?
We will follow the Leisure centre covid secure procedures. This includes a one way system. 10 minutes before your start time head to the main leisure centre door. A marshal will meet you there and direct you up the stairs towards the swimming pool. Queue here 2m apart. A marshal will then direct you to poolside to your lane. You will share a lane with three other people and be set off in 10 second gaps. Your wave (lane) will start as soon as a whole lane becomes free. This will keep the event moving forward.
Will there be an aid station?
Not this year. To reduce the risk of the spread of Covid-19 you are to be fully self sufficient. Ensure you have fluid on the bike and take your own on the run. We will have water for you at the finish
