A multi terrain run organised by local running clubs including Hengoed Harriers, Islwyn RC, Nelson Ladies RC in support of new breast care unit a Centre of Excellence at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr. 

Join us and  #Runpink2020 #Walkpink2020 for our new breast care unit.  The Aneurin Bevan UHB are building a new breast care unit a Centre of Excellence at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr. To improve the facilities within the unit a voluntary group have been set up the friends of the new breast care unit.  Most of the ladies in the group are survivors of breast cancer and are passionate about providing a holistic improved environment for patients that attend the unit. Custom designed counselling rooms and a "a high end department store look for our prosthesis fitting room will give our patients the time and dignity to adjust  life changing information.  Our waiting room will be less clinical with artwork colour art therapy and plants to provide a warm welcoming space with sofas coffee tables for patients and their families to attend.  The unit will provide psychological confidence to live life to its full potential not merely as a cancer survivor.
