About the event

We created this TrailTrekker route for its varied terrain and its stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales. Not for the faint-hearted, this 30hr+ challenge will take you on a 100 kilometers trek up hill and down dale as well as scaling Malham Cove. You have to push yourself hard but doing the event in a 4 man team means that you get tons of encouragement and support along the way. It is an epic adventure with team spirit the vital ingredient. Started in 2009, the 2013 event sold out with 350 teams signing up for the biggest ever Trailtrekker. Most teams took on the full 100km gold route while others aimed for the 40km bronze route or the 65km silver. Amazingly, after three consecutive years of sunshine over the Trailtrekker weekend, 2013 was another scorcher! Not only do Trailtrekkers put themselves through an incredibly tough 100km trek in 30 hours, they also fundraise for Oxfam's incredible work in poverty around the world. The event has raised over £2.3 million to 2013 with an incredible £800,000 in 2013 alone. Funds raised support Oxfam's work in emergency zones and country specific projects. The success of all our events depends on the hard work, commitment and enthusiasm of our volunteers. Contact WildFox staff if you want to join the team at Oxfam Trailtrekker.
