About the events

Join Running Adventures for a weekend of trail running in the stunning Tramuntana mountain range in Mallorca. For this spectacular trail running holiday, we will stay in the wonderful village of Valldemosa, set within an idyllic valley in the midst of the Tramuntana Mountains. Our hotel is called Ca's Papà. Ca’s Papà is a unique hotel that is full of character, combining the hallmarks of the region’s traditional lifestyle with a more contemporary atmosphere.

This running weekend will combine epic mountain trail running with time spent enjoying the company of like minded people and relaxing.

Our runs will take us all over this spectacular area. After checking into our hotel on Thursday, we'll start with a 4.5 mile run through the stunning forest of the Muntanya private natural area, occasional breaks in the trees will give us stunning views over Valldemossa, assuming we have nice weather, we'll relax on the peak and take in the breathtaking views.

Friday will see us make an early start for a 10 mile run from the pretty little coastal town of Banyalbufar, along the GR221 route, back to Valldemossa. We'll head into the hills before dropping down to the small town of Esplores. The perfect location for a well deserved ice cream break before we then head back into the mountains, climbing up to Mola de sa Comuna (714m) which will offer us amazing views all the way to Palma. From here we will drop down into Valldemossa.

On Saturday we have an 10 mile adventure up to the summit of Puig des Teix. A long climb up will reward us with unbelievable views in every direction and we can relax at the top and watch the Eagles flying around below us. We will then head up to Es Caragoli (944m) and enjoy some time exploring the trails of the Cami de s'Arxiduc, looking out over the ocean. Finally we will drop back down to Valldemossa.

All runs are guided by me, a Salomon sponsored ultra runner and coach. We will run at a social pace and walk the hills and mountain slopes if we have to. This is not a race! We will stay as a group so if you are a faster runner, please expect to run slower than you would normally.
