MacAvalanche will be a bike season opener for us and hitting the slopes of Aonach Mòr on Saturday 16th of April! Riders will hurtle through the snow, descending over 900m at a rapid rate! It’s a race for the fearless and definitely not one to be missed.
8-10am || Registration will be in our Pine Marten cafe at the bottom station. You will receive your number board and timing chip.
10am || Seeding Stages There will be 2 timed seeding stages to determine your position within the mass start. All riders **MUST** return to registration in the Pinemarten after the 2 seeding stages to download their timing chips to determine their mass start position.
Important Info || Uplift time
When riders have completed their seeding stages they will be asked to head up the gondola and across to the our quad chair for uplift. Please ensure all riders leave enough time for the gondola, walk across to the quad and then the uplift on the chair. There are almost 300 riders involved therefore chair uplift will take sometime.
Keep Warm || Up top will be chilly!
We advise that all riders take additional layer with them for the uplift journey and the time prior to the mass start. We will have crew that will be able to transport your rucksacks back down to the bottom station for you completing the race.
3pm || Mass Start The exciting part!
3.30pm || Apres Baby! We will Samson Sounds playing at the base station under our stretch tent! We will have an outdoor bar area and space for you all to decompress after the race. This will continue until around 7pm.
4.40pm || Prize Giving We will have a the prize giving to award all the best in their categories from the day!
