Charing Cross, London, United Kingdom to Edinburgh Castle
In April 2016 I will be setting off from London and running all the way up the country to Edinburgh, completing back to back "ultra" marathons.
With a daily mileage of over 40 miles and a total distance of 400 miles its certainly going to take its toll on the body and in particular the legs
The challenge will take place over just ten days and hopes to achieve the
following:
Raise awareness of the challenges people living with Cystic
Fibrosis suffer everyday
Raise funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Charity
through generous public donations for vital on going research
to help people living with Cystic Fibrosis and their families
Highlight the charity Cystic Fibrosis and the great
work it does nationally
Why ?
Every week 5 babies are born with Cystic Fibrosis a genetic disorder that
it passed on through the genes when two people carry a certain gene type
reproduce
Children and Adults with Cystic Fibrosis have difficulties digesting
food and struggle with even the basic essential of breathing. Cystic Fibrosis causes a sticky mucus membrane to develop on the digestive tract and lungs
meaning a life in and out of hospital and constant medication. This causes a
shortened life expectancy and daily upheaval not only for people with CF but
the parents and loved ones living with suffers.
Yes the challenge will be incredibly tough and cause a lot of discomfort
for ten days, but after ten days I can go back to "normal life" and
my blisters will heal.
Cystic Fibrosis suffers don't get that choice, and have to live
their lives with all the problems the condition causes every single day
If you can offer the challenge or the charity help in any
form, financial or otherwise do so via the following methods

Well I would say I was just a pretty average guy, kids, house, car, job.... but then some others wouldn't !
I love a challenge and ever since a life changing event in 2012 I tried the theory about always saying YES to pretty much anything, and its taken me to some really great places and I've met some really fantastic people along the way.
To running up mountains, swimming in seas and having literally no skin left on feet I've done a lot and what is more important got the medals and the scars to prove it !
I run my own running coaching company trying to share some of the enjoyment I get from the feeling of having to get down the stairs on bum in the mornings sometimes.
Keep myself busy with "the next" challenge.... whilst aways trying to juggle work, family and home.
So yeah just an average guy, with a pas
