Lap of My Mind (LOMM) is one of four epic Mind Over Mountain fundraising challenges, culminating in a cycling World Record attempt, to raise awareness of mental health issues as well as significant funds for the mental health charities Mind and Calm.
Lap of My Mind is a relay of 10 riders cycling a non-stop, 4,500 mile lap round the UK in just 20 days - that's over 230,000 feet of climbing! With almost guaranteed bad weather, we are doing it the hard way! The challenge starts and finishes on the Clifton Suspension Bridge, a renowned suicide blackspot, on 1st December 2018 and ends on December 21st – the darkest day of the year.
Want to get involved? Buy a ticket for £20 for our LOMM 120 in 20 Challenge and play your part by riding at least 120 miles in the 20 days our riders will take to lap the UK and, optionally, help us to raise funds for Mind and Calm. And why not challenge your friends to get involved and see who can ride the furthest?
Everyone who buys a ticket receives an exclusive challenge t-shirt and an entry into a draw for a number of great prizes donated by our amazing sponsors including a custom engraved Strada light from Exposure Lights, a GORE® Wear ShakeDry Jacket and a Torq Fitness nutritional hamper.
Mental health issues don’t discriminate, one in four of us will be affected in any given year. But it is estimated that only 25% of people affected will receive the support they need. So please sign-up and help us to do something wonderful for a great cause.
