THE ROUTE

Coniston: 100km long route OR 49km medium route

One of the highlights of the UK gravel scene, the Lakes combines remote gravel tracks with stunning views and a few tasty climbs. You can choose between the 49km medium route or full 100km long route on the day based on how you are feeling. The medium route skips a section near Ambleside & some of the bridleways in the Grizedale Forest.

LONG ROUTE

Coniston: 100km, 2216m

A spectacular and challenging 100km loop from Coniston. The first third of the route heads north to Ambleside with a stunning 3km off road climb before heading south into Grizedale Forest for miles of fun on the bridleways and four big climbs to get over before returning to Coniston for a well earned beer.

RIDE DIFFICULTY: 4.5/5

MEDIUM ROUTE

Coniston: 49km, 1150m

A perfect 50km loop in the Lakes with a lot of the highlights of the long route. We start with nearly 10km of gravel before a quick road climb above Little Langdale. The middle of the route is the most challenging with three off road climbs heading into Grizedale Forest before a descent home for a beer.
