RIDE OVERVIEW

Escape the city and take on this two night / three day multi stage sportive over the entire 350km King Alfred's Way, the iconic off road route in the South of England. Taking in parts of the South Downs Way, Ridgeway & historic sites from Wessex, the riding & the views are only matched by the cold post ride beers & social post ride evenings.

PERCENTAGE OF ROUTE OFF ROAD 80%

Bike & Tyre Choice: A route designed for your new gravel bike. Most of the route is rolling and in August, there should be few muddy sections. We will send out recommendations closer to the time based on conditions but around a 40mm tyre with fast rolling, intermediate tread should be ideal. You can ride this on a MTB, wider tyres will be preferable on some of the descents but on balance this route is ideal for a gravel bike.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

FULLY SIGNED ROUTE & TIMING CHIPS

Focus just the stunning views & thrilling ride. The route is marked out all the way & you can check your time for the route at the end.

FEED STOPS

We have feed stops approx every 30-40kms with fruit, cakes, coke, water, hydration tabs & tasty ride nutrition from the experts at Outdoor Provisions.

LUGGAGE TRANSFER

No need to weigh your bike down. We collect your luggage each morning and take it straight to your hotel for when you arrive.

RACE VILLAGE AT THE FINISH

After each day, grab a free beer and get a beer from our local food truck. Add some music, sunshine and 150 other riders and you have three great post ride evenings.

BIKE RENTAL & MECHANICS AVAILABLE

New to gravel riding? Hire a Pearson Off Grid gravel bike for the day. We also have mechanics on site to support with any issues before & during the ride.
