About the event
Gazelle in Weymouth (10k, Half). Two week event window to complete.
This is a live event that starts on June 12th and you have two weeks to run the route, anytime of day or night. We have created and ran this route ourselves, so we trust you will enjoy it. You do not need any self-navigation/map reading skills. We make the routes simple to follow yet scenic and varied at the same time. This course route starts and ends at the Weymouth Pavilion on the seafront. It takes you along the promenade gaining some nice flat/fast miles. It then takes you inland around the walkways and woodland paths. There is a bit of everything in this course.
All distances start and finish at the same location. Run on your own or with friends, whatever works for you. We have given you two weeks to give flexibility, and allow you to choose the time of day to run where you can perform at your best. Once you have completed the run, submit your evidence to us by the deadline (26th June 23:59pm). Full details of this process will be emailed to you on upon sign up.
What do you get?
- A downloadable GPX file of the route will be sent to you 2 weeks before the race event window starts, along with map with directions and a gallery.
- Bespoke Flying Gazelle eco-friendly finishers medal.

Flying Gazelle Running is a family run project based in Dorset, England. We have a passion for running and wanted to express this by creating race events that are flexible and tailored to you.
As qualified Clinical Psychologists working in the NHS, we have experienced first hand the benefits that getting outdoors and walking/running can have on a persons physical and mental health. So this is our way to promote running, make it fun and interesting (and also challenging), and support mental health by hosting events each year in which 100% of profits go to mental health charities. We also plant 5 trees alongside every entry, to improve our carbon footprint.
Our events are for any and every runner, from the beginner to the seasoned pro. The difficulty of any race is determined by how much the runner puts in. You can walk, run, or sprint... we leave that up to you.
