EVENT DETAILS:

The AMAZING Edinburgh Duathlon returns for the second year and the event will take place on March 6th 2022 at the sensational Gosford House.

THIS RACE IS OPEN FOR ENTRY TO ALL ABILITIES. BEGINNERS & BEGINNERS TO SEASONED ATHLETES.

Tough Runner UK welcomes you to the second edition of the highly anticipated Edinburgh Duathlon which takes place in the breath-taking scenery of Gosford House and it’s neighbouring country roads. Gosford House was previously known as the location of the Edinburgh Ironman Triathlon. 

The run course will take part within the spectacular estate and then transition onto the bike that will take you out onto the surrounding roads. This outstanding bike course boasts of unrivalled scenery along the coast line and farmlands.

So let’s get down to the details:

Event Date – Sunday 6th March 2022- 8AM Start

Event venue – Gosford House

Event Distance – 5k 25k 5k

Please note that Tough Runner UK has been issued the Good to Go certification to comply with all Covid-19 safety guidelines for our industry and have already conducted 2020 and 2021 events with high satisfactory levels issued from BTF.

British Triathlon Federation Rules

BTF rules, All competitors must comply with BTF rules, (it is recommended that you read the BTF rules and regulations which will be applied to his race). All competitors must be licensed to race, those non BTF members will be required to pay a £6GBP levy for a day license. This is now all digital and is included in the non member entry cost

Anybody caught doing so will be DSQ drafting is cheating.


Minimum age for competitors

The minimum age to take part in this event is 17.


British Triathlon Federation Rules

BTF rules, All competitors must comply with BTF rules, (it is recommended that you read the BTF rules and regulations which will be applied to his race)


All competitors must be licensed to race, those non BTF members will be required to pay a £6 levy for a day license. This is included in the non member entry cost.


Keep racing tidy

If you intend to use your own nutrition please keep hold of it until you reach a suitable place to discard of it.

We would appreciate if you would either wait until you reach a dedicated trash zone or give them to a marshal.


Transition rules

Security will be present in the transition area. Only competitors wearing their ID will be allowed in or out.


Your race pack will include a race number and 2 stickers which are to be attached to your bike and helmet. This must be done prior to entering the transition zone.

No riding is allowed in the transition zone. Your helmet must be fastened on your head at all times whilst you are on tour bike or running through transition with your bike.
