Just a week after the Summer Solstice, the second leg of the 2020 Castle Run Series will take place at Cholmondeley Castle during the long, bucolic days of June. Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon event attracts thousands of competitors and supporters to the beautiful countryside of Cheshire. The race offers the quintessential Castle Run Series experience of competitive and fun racing, an epic castle backdrop and a stunning location.
The Cholmondeley Castle 10K takes in the same stunning 7K loop as the Half Marathon and Marathon and then continues around for the exactly the same first part of the second loop until the Cattle Crush Gate is passed for a second time. At this point and having emerged from the rough estate track, participants turn left on the internal estate road and rejoin the original 7K route at the 5K mark just before Somerset Lodge and the Victorian stables. 10K is achieved when the Finish Line.
The Half Marathon and Marathon will see competitors undertake laps of the spectator friendly 7K estate loop. Starting adjacent to the cricket pitch and in full view of the castle the 1st K of the course follows a well worn track to an area of the estate called Cattle Crush.
