About the event

The BEEACTIVE challenge, 24 minutes a day for the month of May!!

Working in partnership with The Bumblebee Conservation Trust were improving peoples health, raising awareness, fundraising, sharing stories, getting active and of course enjoying ourselves along the way!

#BEEACTIVE

24 minutes a day?

This May we are asking you to BEEACTIVE for 24 minutes a day!

There are 24 different species of bumblebee in the UK, hence 24 minutes per day! (25 species if you include the Short-Haired Bumblebee the Trust is trying to re-introduce).

Sadly, our bumblebees are in decline due to habitat loss, and three species have been driven to extinction here since 1940.

So let's get moving!

The actual challenge amount will show as the total number of minutes for the month which is 744 minutes!

You can choose to complete the challenge however you’d like; Walk, Jog, Run, Swim, Zumba, Waggle Dance, Play Rounders, Cycle ... whatever you want!

You’ll be able to log your progress online just remember to join the training page from our entry system (it will record from many devices automatically), share your best and worst days, connect with your fellow team mates, all while supporting Bumblebees!

You can enter the challenge for FREE and simply support The Bumblebee Conservation Trust by raising sponsorship (100% of all sponsorship goes to the charity).

You can also add a specially designed medal to your entry for £10, a challenge t-shirt for £20 or both for £25, with 30% of the revenue going straight to the charity, take a look at the designs here.

After the challenge is over, we send out your certificate, medal or t-shirt.

You don't need to send us proof of completion, we trust you :)
