Backyard Ultra - 8th / 9th June 2024

Brought to you by Blended Trails and set on stunning trails within private land at Chiltern Manor Farm in The Candovers, The Blended Backyard is perfect for seasoned trail runners, ultra runners and those looking to push the boundaries of personal achievement.

What is a Backyard Ultra?

Developed by Gary ‘Lazarus Lake’ Cantrell, the founder of the infamous Barkley Marathons, entrants are required to complete consecutive loops of exactly 6,706m (4 miles, 880ft) in less than one hour. The race finishes when only one runner remains to complete a lap.

Each new loop starts precisely one hour after the last. This race is open-ended. All entrants except the last runner to complete a lap are considered DNF. Time remaining after a lap is used to refuel and recover before the next one starts.

Blendeds Backyard takes place Saturday 8th June 2024.

The event sits within the grounds of Chiltern Manor Farm but the exact location will be given out via the what3words app prior to race day.

Race day registration opens at 8:30 am on 17th June.

Race briefing 9:45am.
