Tal Y Lyn is a stunning glacial ribbon lake that lies at the foot of one of Wales' most iconic mountains, Cadair Idris, in the heart of Snowdonia National Park.
Expect the water temperature in the lake to be around 6°C to 8°C. The temperature varies depending on the preceeding weather. We will keep you updated on the water temperature in the days leading up to the event.
For safety reasons the course will be
1 km - 2 laps of 500m
1 Mile - 3 laps of 500m + 102m at the end (1602m)
Wetsuit or skins swimmers welcome. Please don't enter if you don't have previous experience of similar time spent in similar water temperatures.
- Registration: 09:00 - 10:00
- Swim start: 10:30
