About the events

The Brecon Beacons National Park lies on the border between Mid Wales and South Wales. It’s home to waterfalls, forests, market towns and the highest peak in southern Britain.

The ultimate test of your physical determination and personal navigational skills.

This 23-28km navigational “Point to Point” exercise mirrors the SF Selection test week march of the same name. Its tough nature is well known amongst those who have completed it with testing terrain and the requirement to think under pressure in order to find the best route to the next checkpoint.

With interim checkpoints spread across the Brecon Beacons you will be given a grid reference at the start point to the first checkpoint and then your next destination will be given when you reach each checkpoint. The 28km distance is as the crow flies and so you must find the most efficient route in order to complete and reach your final checkpoint location.

Can you think on your feet? Can you keep your head under pressure on the hills? Do you have the endurance to complete?

Please note that if you wish to enter this event you must have sufficient map reading skills that can be proven or complete the map reading instruction weekend. Those on Point to Point will receive a 25% discount on this course.

You will receive a custom medal and certificate on completion. First place prizes are given for each category for both male and female participants and team entries.
