About the event
Back for the 7th year, join us on Sunday 24th September 2023 for the Exmoor Open Water Swim. After another hugely successful sold out event in 2022, we are ready for more this year. Sign up early to guarantee your place. Limited early bird prices available for all distances. 100 Free Charity places available.
Building on the success of our previous events, our goal is to give everyone the opportunity to swim in this beautiful lake in Exmoor National Park. Whether you are a regular open water swimmer, or want to venture outside of the swimming pool - this is your chance to swim #BEYONDTHELANES
We have distances ranging from 1km - for those new to open water swimming, right up to 6km for those up for taking on a bigger challenge. Plus with 2km and 4km distances, there is something for everyone.
The longer distances will use a 2km loop, taking swimmers on a tour of the central lake. We also have an "elite" 6km event for those who wish to swim at a faster pace.
Whatever it is your are looking for, we can provide the perfect, safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience at Wimbleball Lake.
